Artist statement: I met both Lizzy and Owen through working on projects at Turner Contemporary.
Owen was an award winning performance poet who was also a tetraplegic. We met through Margate Bookie and, like with Lizzy, we formed a lasting friendship.
We were working on a project 2 weeks before he died this video was filmed in my garden with his voice reading of the poetry. He was delighted with the video. Sadly because of his breathing aided by a ventilator Insta has shortened the poem.
He would have been very pleased to be included in this fab online exhibition.
