Artist statement: My name is Mr Michael Isaacs and I am 40 years old. I have attached a piece of artwork which incorporates haiku poetry. I have had Crohns for 26 years, OCD for a large part of my life since my teenage years, and I am profoundly deaf (since the age of 5). I wear bone anchored hearing aids (BAHAS).

I am a stay at home Dad to my 3 boys and in my spare time I write poetry as a coping mechanism to help me deal with the pain and struggles that come with my illnesses.
